The Ballantyne, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Charlotte

From the moment I arrived at The Ballantyne Hotel until the moment I checked out, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel was spotless, elegant, timeless, and truly captured the luxury and charm of Charlotte. What made this stay unforgettable was the outstanding staff. Evan provided a warm and seamless check-in experience, Chuck-the bell man was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and Roberto went above and beyond at The Spa, making it one of the highlights of our weekend. Their genuine hospitality made us feel valued and cared for every step of the way. The room was beautiful and well-appointed with thoughtful amenities, the pool was relaxing, and the gardens were absolutely stunning. Every detail created the perfect atmosphere to unwind, recharge, and reset. Dinner at the Gallery Restaurant was another standout experience. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the server, Marybeth, was attentive, personable, and provided top-notch service. While The Ballantyne is certainly a luxury hotel with premium pricing, the level of service, attention to detail, and overall experience absolutely justify the cost. This was a five-star weekend in every sense, and I highly recommend The Ballantyne to anyone looking for a memorable getaway in Charlotte. Thank you to the entire team for making the stay so special. This hotel looks and feels luxurious and reminds me of many stays at the Ritz Carlton hotel chain. It is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were spacious and clean. However, the service, specifically at the pool, was TERRIBLE - 0/10. My husband and I arrived with our children and wanted to enjoy some pool time together as a family. We were instantly met with contempt by all of the young “men” working there. There were no chairs available. We thought one of them would have greeted us and asked if they could help us find some chairs or some towels..maybe even at least an umbrella, but we were totally ignored as we circled the pool twice looking for a lone chair for the entire family. We went in the pool and made the best of it! We then attempted to order food, which seemed to annoy the ten boys working at the pool bar. They actually seemed irritated we were asking them for anything. Apparently we had the wrong menu (which they gave us via QR code) so everything we tried to order was “not available”. They then told us to “see if we can find a menu floating around the pool area?” LOL. What a joke! This is not the service we expect for quite a large amount of money per night at a luxury hotel. I try to make the best out of situations, but the service at the pool was simply unacceptable. Instead of having 15 young boys who clearly don’t want to work or talk to paying customers, I’d recommend you hire maybe 5 who actually hustle and know what customer service is! I don’t think we’ll be coming back to this hotel. :(

I booked a room for my best friend of 15 years to celebrate her birthday, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I made the reservation, everyone made the entire process feel so easy and genuinely special. A huge thank you to Olivia, the front desk manager, for her kindness and professionalism. Daniella at the front desk was incredibly welcoming, and James, the concierge, went above and beyond to help with the birthday preparations. The spa team was also absolutely wonderful. Every single person I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and truly cared about making our stay memorable. You can tell this hotel takes pride in its service. It's rare to find a team that makes you feel so valued from the moment you book until the moment you leave. They truly live up to the meaning of a luxury hotel, and I can't recommend them enough.

Great experience at a great hotel. The staffs were excellent and it was a very pleasant stay. Debbie was very nice and professional. The rooms were great and enjoyed our stay. Quiet, clean, and no complaints. Definitely recommend The Ballantyne if you are in the area. Hotel was great but my photos are not great

This hotel is hands down the best in the area. All the staff was friendly, welcoming, wonderful and very helpful. Their complementary refreshments are that good. I called the front staff a few times with requests and they deliver on time and nicely every single time. The concierge was wonderful, we end up trying a few places she recommended, and the shuttle was available at all times and super friendly. I fell in love with this place, the garden was pretty and the fresh flowers in the reception area were beautiful. The bedroom was exquisite.
