I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The service was truly above and beyond, with staff members going out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I was particularly grateful for the assistance of Mike Fletcher, the food director, who helped coordinate a large team dinner for our soccer players. The room setup was both stylish and practical, providing plenty of space to relax. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and getting to the soccer games. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch stay!
I came here a Christmas party event my husband company was having and was a very nice hotel inside and out! Looks very clean and well taken care of and was worth going! Definitely recommend you book a room or event here! I 100% would!
Two years in a row this was the location of our trade event. We didn't sleep here, I can't attest to the room quality.
The Bad: The spaces for our seminars were very unequally temperature controlled. The hotel staff was continually working on resolving this problem, and I heard them being very short and somewhat rude to the event host staff on two occasions. One room we needed a coat to be in, they told us we couldn't shut the door or the HVAC would freeze and fail. The room across the hallway we were sweating in. The roof was leaking in a few spots, there were four or five trash bins through the hall to catch the water. There were cockroaches wandering in various spots.
The Good: The hotel is really quite large. There was enough space for us without feeling cramped. The buffet food was acceptable. The meat selection during our trade show was fresh sliced, and the best we had during our whole stay. The event was truly great, mostly due to the event staff!
I don’t even know where to begin. This is our second time staying here one year apart for a large conference. The AC hardly worked in most places of the hotel and conference center and that was the case a year ago. One of the elevators this trip was out of service, the other 3 were slow, damaged and decrepit. We had the unfortunate timing of being here as a hurricane was hitting on the western part of the state, which resulted in heavy rains and flash flooding in the Raleigh area. The hotel roof leaks so bad there was water cascading down the walls, from the ceiling in the middle of floors, and in the windows. They had garbage cans and towels lined up all over the place to collect the water coming in. Nearly every room we were in for the conference center had flickering lights or inoperable air conditioning. The chairs were so uncomfortable in the conference rooms. We opted for daily housekeeping which was someone haphazardly making our bed and sometimes emptying the trash cans but neglecting to restock toilet paper and coffee or remove dirty dishes from the room. Our toilet in the room was not secure to the floor so you had to be careful using it. The faucet for the sink is so small and tucked into the corner of the sink you can’t even get your hands under the running water to wash your hands without water getting all over the counter. I think the icing on the cake was getting up in the morning and watching a giant cockroach scurry from our bathroom to under the door out into the hallway. The staff is generally friendly and helpful which is about all the hotel has going for it. The included breakfast area is so small it cannot accommodate large groups of people all trying to grab something to eat before spending an entire morning in training classes.
Overall the hotel is run down and in a year it has not gotten any better. You can clearly see while waiting for the painfully slow elevator all the roof top AC units with sides ripped off of them and empty cans of refrigerant tossed around. This hotel should be put out of its misery.
Staff was kind and pleasant. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is access to a fitness center next door and nice pool. The hotel itself is outdated but still great stay! Coffee bar opens early, good barista service and dining area and food is reasonably priced and very good.
