The hotel’s in an old building, which is kind of nice, but it definitely feels dated. There’s no gym in the hotel — they just have a deal with a fitness club next door, which isn’t very convenient. I had paid for the breakfast upfront, but in the morning they wouldn’t even give me a cup of coffee from the small beanery outside, which was pretty disappointing. They charge for the coffee. The bathtub was in rough shape too.
They have an omelette bar for breakfast and that is the only positive I see.
Overall, not a great experience for what I paid
Hotel hosted a state job fair. Conference rooms were clean and spacious. There were water stations available to accommodate the large number of attendees. Reviewer did not stay overnight or receive any hospitality services.
I stayed here on a work trip for one night. The room itself was fine. As a Titanium member I even got an upgrade, which was appreciated. The front desk staff was excellent during check in. I used the Sheraton Club in the evening with my coworkers. The staff working in the club were all cordial and pleasant. The appetizers were sparse as the people in the club devoured them almost as soon as they came out. But it just is what it is there. Now for the negatives. First off our group called the hotel several times for pickup from the airport. We were told it would be about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we called again and were told they would send out a shuttle. And that continued until we were finally picked up. After I got into my room I was using the bathroom when the housecleaning staff entered the room without even bothering to knock. She apologized and quickly left. I could tell it was an accident but they should still knock. The next part is my major complaint though. We checked the night before about using the shuttle service in the morning. We were told simply that the shuttle left every hour on the hour, with no reservations or sign up list. We were all downstairs early the next morning where a crowd had already formed. Several people using the hotel's parking service were there and were given priority over us even though we were actual hotel guests. They also held seats for airline crew that the hotel had a contract for. I can understand that. But there was a large enough crowd already outside that warranted an extra run, with plenty of time to still be back in time for their scheduled departure time. The drivers chose not to do that. Yes, drivers. The shuttle had two drivers. There was a second vehicle parked in front of the hotel, a rental van I believe, but neither shuttle driver was on the list of people that could use it. My group ended up having to wait, significantly increasing our odds of missing our flight. The shuttle returned about 30 minutes later and was instantly filled up again between my group, two other people, and more airline crew. So they ended up making an extra run anyways. I don't feel this situation was handled well. I don't like that parking only customers were given priority on the shuttle before hotel guests. I don't like that we were assured the night before that there would be no issues. Fortunately we are all experienced with surprise delays and know our way around this airport. If the shuttle had caused us any more delays though we would have been forced to find our own transportation. The next scheduled shuttle time would have left us arriving to the airport too late to check in our luggage due to the airline's policies.
The staff at Sheraton Imperial Hotel are incredibly kind and helpful, which made my stay very comfortable. There’s a bar and café conveniently located near the reception area, perfect for relaxing or chatting with your group. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or you can order room service if you prefer to dine in your room.
One of the best parts of the experience was their mobile app, which is really handy—you can even unlock your room door through it, plus order food and request room service easily.
My room was clean and spacious, featuring two queen-size beds, a TV, a closet with a mini fridge, locker and a kettle for making coffee. However, if you need bottled water, you have to go to the reception since they don’t provide it directly in the room.
The overall stay was good, but there was one thing I didn’t like: when I asked the reception if there would be an extra charge for ordering food to the room, they said no, but when I ordered through the app, I was charged a $4 delivery fee. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.
I'm a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member but since my company paid for the room I don't get thanked for my hard earned status, told I don't get use of the Executive Club lounge but if I buy something I will get points for my purchase. I did buy something from Uber Eats! The actually appreciate my business unlike this hotel. They certainly found a way to discourage brand loyalty and could care less! Lots of other hotels close by that will appreciate you!
