The Ballantyne, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Charlotte

From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The front desk team was efficient and genuinely welcoming. Every question was handled with ease and every request felt like a priority. The room itself was spotless, and you can tell housekeeping takes real pride in their work everything was clean and beautifully maintained throughout our stay. The cleaning staff was so kind always greeting us with a smile. A special shoutout to Marlos at the front door who was absolutely amazing helping us with our bags and guiding us to our room on arrival. The amenities across the property were just as impressive. They were well kept and truly luxurious. Everywhere we went the staff was attentive and consistently made us feel taken care of. Overall this is one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to return!

The Ballantyne is, in my opinion, the best hotel in Charlotte. The main reason is the outstanding level of service they provide. From the moment you arrive at the door to check in, room service, the spa and the restaurant, every team member is well selected and offers high quality and friendly service. The hotel is spotless in every corner. Most hotel restaurants do not deliver exceptional food, but The Gallery Restaurant at The Ballantyne is truly impressive. We stayed here before and it was excellent. We stayed again recently and the same high quality service continues without any decline. I highly recommend this hotel.

Check-in was smooth, everyone was welcoming, and it never felt rushed or scripted. You can tell they take real pride in the details. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully put together. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the whole space felt intentionally designed instead of just “hotel standard.” The views over the grounds and golf course add this sense of openness you don’t typically get in city hotels. Little things like the quality of the linens, the quietness of the floors, and the way housekeeping seemed to magically refresh everything without ever being disruptive made a huge difference. It was the kind of room you look forward to coming back to at the end of the day. We spent time exploring the property, and that’s where The Ballantyne really stands out. The spa feels like its own retreat, the indoor pool is warm and relaxing, and the outdoor areas are beautifully maintained. Even just walking the grounds is peaceful. We had dinner on-site and the food was legitimately impressive—fresh, well-seasoned, and plated like something you’d expect at a standalone fine-dining spot. Service throughout the whole stay stayed consistently attentive without ever feeling over the top. If you’re looking for a hotel in Charlotte that genuinely feels like a getaway, The Ballantyne is on another level. It’s elegant without being stuffy, high-end without feeling cold, and relaxing in a way you don’t fully appreciate until you’ve stayed there. We’ll definitely be coming back.

From the moment I pulled up, he carried himself with respect, professionalism, and real hospitality. He parked my car, helped with my bags, and made the whole experience smooth with no attitude, no rush — just excellence. People like him make a place feel truly luxury. Thank you, Mr. William. The wife and I love the Ballantyne and will only use this hotel anytime we go to Charlotte. I bargain shopped a hotel in Rock Hill and quickly found out that was a mistake. We were able to book a room the same night around 10pm at the Ballantyne so we did not have to stay at this other hotel. When we arrived we were definitely not dressed for the occasion. We had spend the day on a mountain so we were a little dirty and dressed for the outdoors. People at the counter did not treat us poorly or act like snobs about it. The lobby is beautiful and we love the gold elevators. In the morning we went to the restaurant. Everything that we ordered was amazing and the staff were very friendly. We took an outdoor stroll around the building and the grounds were clean, litter free, and landscaped nicely. The Ballantyne saved our mountain trip!
