Food lacked any flavor They did say they were trying out a new cook Oh well !!! See this happens all the time with Desi restaurants they in there plans to expand and to make more money open another Desi restaurants exhibit A in this case … so I bet the main cook is at.other location. So this one slacks ..when he would come to this location the other one would slack ADVISE :::..CONCENTRATE ON ONE PLEASE

I usually find it difficult to write negative reviews, but I wanted to share this feedback hoping it helps improvement. The weekday lunch buffet at Zayka felt very limited in both quantity and variety, and the taste did not meet expectations, leaving us feeling something was missing. I hope the management considers improving the taste and options, as we would love to see improvements.

My wife and I probably won’t dine in here again, though we may still order takeout. We visited recently and the server that evening came across as very unwelcoming. He wasn’t verbally rude, but his gestures and overall demeanor made us feel uncomfortable. I noticed he interacted similarly with another table as well, so perhaps he was just having a bad day. At one point, while we were still eating and there was food left on the plate, he quietly took the plate away without asking if we were finished. There were also moments where plates were stacked loudly and silverware was placed on tables that hadn’t been cleaned yet. We wanted to order more drinks but we left as soon as possible. The food was fine, but the dining experience itself wasn’t pleasant, which is why we would likely choose takeout instead of dining in next time.

I usually don’t write negative reviews, but this experience genuinely left me frustrated, especially after paying $18.99 + tax for the weekday buffet. Zayka had 7–8 types of curries, but sadly none of them had any real taste. What’s the point of offering so many curries when not even one is flavorful? On top of that, they served me cold bread, which made the meal even more disappointing. For vegetarians, the only starters were samosa and pakoda — nothing else. The jeera rice and biryani were so dry they tasted like raw rice. Overall, the food felt bland, careless, and far from what you expect when you’re paying this much. It’s a terrible feeling to spend money and walk out unsatisfied. I truly hope the management takes this seriously and improves the taste, freshness, and quality. But based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We ate there a few weeks ago. For some reason my comments didn't get picked up, only the rating. We started with pakora. The batter was too crunchy and the veggies inside could not be identified or tasted. My date had a grilled dish. It was very spicy. She likes food mild - they never asked her. I had korma that was extremely good. Service was good, not great. The waiter did recommend a good wine with the meal but he seemed overwhelmed. Interior design was modern. Not much Indian about it. Booths are black and white button tufted. We will stop by and try it again if we are nearby.
