Zyka Brier Creek

I usually find it difficult to write negative reviews, but I wanted to share this feedback hoping it helps improvement. The weekday lunch buffet at Zayka felt very limited in both quantity and variety, and the taste did not meet expectations, leaving us feeling something was missing. I hope the management considers improving the taste and options, as we would love to see improvements.

So because I love to eat, I have to be very honest. I gave the food to 3 because I love Indian food and because I was looking for the bread to the butter garlic, but it was burnt then I was looking for the garlic shrimp out of all things that should be on the menu because there’s only chicken and tofu you gotta have a variety and I feel like if they added that garlic shrimp and make sure that the bread is butter garlic nan Then they will have no problem. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service was great. It’s just a variety is what threw me off. I was excited to come and see a nice big buffet. It just wasn’t given that for lunch.

I personally don’t understand why there are 1 and 2 stars on here. My first time here and I loved everything I had for dinner. My favorite was the slow cooked goat curry. The Chai and Moong Dal Halwa was the perfect combo for my sweet tooth. Please Don’t pay any attention to the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews. I’m a foodie and since I moved to the Raleigh area, I’ve been trying a lot of Indian restaurants and I always check the reviews before I go and that’s why it took me a while to come and try this - I live in Brier creek and I’m so glad I ignored all the reviews and gave them a try. I will definitely come back here again. Great food and great service.

My wife and I probably won’t dine in here again, though we may still order takeout. We visited recently and the server that evening came across as very unwelcoming. He wasn’t verbally rude, but his gestures and overall demeanor made us feel uncomfortable. I noticed he interacted similarly with another table as well, so perhaps he was just having a bad day. At one point, while we were still eating and there was food left on the plate, he quietly took the plate away without asking if we were finished. There were also moments where plates were stacked loudly and silverware was placed on tables that hadn’t been cleaned yet. We wanted to order more drinks but we left as soon as possible. The food was fine, but the dining experience itself wasn’t pleasant, which is why we would likely choose takeout instead of dining in next time.

Zyaka has always been one of our favorite and go-to places, which is why our recent experience on the 7th of August was especially disappointing. I got my parents to experience the place as we always had good food experience there but it turned out to be meh! Unfortunately, everything we ordered that evening was extremely disappointing and, frankly, far below the standard we have come to expect from Zyaka. Nothing tasted right! When we brought this to your team’s attention, we were told that there was a large catering order and that everyone was busy with it. We completely understand that busy days happen, but that shouldn’t mean regular customers have to compromise on their experience. If anything, we expected Zyaka to recognize our concern and make an effort to address it. What was even more disappointing was that there was no meaningful acknowledgment or consideration on our bill, despite us clearly expressing our dissatisfaction during the visit. We have been loyal customers and have always chosen Zyaka because of the quality and experience we associate with the restaurant. This visit unfortunately fell very far short of that. Given the circumstances and the fact that the entire meal was unsatisfactory, we would sincerely appreciate a full refund for our visit on the 7th. We feel that would be a fair way for Zyaka to acknowledge the experience and, hopefully, restore our confidence as returning customers. We genuinely hope this is an exception and that our future visits reflect the Zyaka we have always loved. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
