The Ballantyne was a very nice hotel. The rooms were very clean and I loved having a shower and a bathtub. We had a room with a balcony which was very nice. The noise level from the street was a bit overwhelming and the outdoor light needs bird poop cleaning. The hotel smelled like a spa wherever we went and soft music was playing everywhere. The staff was very friendly. Overall a very pleasant stay and recommend.

I went here for tea with my daughter and mother. The atmosphere and ambiance was lovely. The sneaky 24% service charge was not. It came out to 42.00 on top of 20.00 worth of other taxes. I ordered two mimosas (15.00 each and my bill comes out to $232.00….. not worth it. These are steak dinner prices. nice memory for my daughter though.

My daughter took me and her two daughters for Sunday afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday. It’s a pretty space and we had a lovely server. Food was nothing exceptional. It’s $50/pp and then a 24% service charge!! That’s outrageous. Then a tip line as well. I told my daughter she did not need to add a normal gratuity on top of the service charge but could leave a small tip because the server was so nice. She didn’t agree not agree and added more. I won’t go back here, there are other places to have a nice afternoon tea

Enjoyed our stay at The Ballantyne, from start to finish the service was impeccable. Everyone was extremely welcoming, respectful and polite. The staff, service and breakfasts at the Gallery Restaurant were wonderful. Housekeeping kept our room spotless during our stay and the amenities were wonderful. Special thanks to Evan, Dir of Front Office and Maria G in Housekeeping for going above and beyond to make our stay extra special!

It was a pretty hotel, but the room really wasn't anything special. The price was great though. We were only there one night. It did have a separate tub though which was awesome:)
