Nicely appointed hotel and rooms. Very friendly staff. Attractive bathroom, however, the shower fixtures are in desperate need of replacement. In addition, the air conditioner struggled to keep the room comfortable. The humidity remained high in the room throughout my stay. I have stayed here 10 nights in the last 8 weeks. I would definitely stay here again as it is in a great location. I did not eat here or book any spa services. My comments are strictly on hotel accommodations.

Initially, I left a bad review, but after speaking with the team members and re-evaluating, here is my honest review: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Ballantyne, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and live music venues (which are rare in this area). Even though we live nearby, we stay here often as it serves as our little vacation getaway. The hotel offers excellent amenities, including a well-maintained pool, a modern fitness center, and comfortable, spacious rooms. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ensuring our stays are pleasant. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a wide variety of options, and the overall atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We highly recommend this hotel for both locals looking for a quick escape and visitors seeking a prime location in Ballantyne.

When they talk about southern hospitality, as soon as we walked through the doors of The Ballantyne Luxury Hotel we felt that on steroids... Everyone was so gracious, friendly & helpful at every level. From the housekeeping that warmly greeted us when we checked in to every employee of the hotel. I specifically would like to thank Hadleigh for going out of her way to help us out with everything, and being so courteous, gracious and patience with all our needs. Definitely recommend this Hotel. **** Update Day 2 The grounds are gorgeous! Truly a beautiful place to just relax. Whether It's by the spa, the indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool, the picturesque lake with the lawn chairs, and the lawns. The wonderful staff that everything to ensure that we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. A special shout out to the one and only Blake, with his friendly smile, that ensured that we had the most amazing experience. He anticipated our every need... and then some... Whether the need big or small, Blake did it all!

Let me start by saying that my husband and I have stayed at the Ballantyne too many times to count and we usually have a positive experience. We stayed a few weeks ago and our experience was disappointing. Lines at the check in counter were very long and there was only one person working. We were told our room wasn't ready, it was cleaned but not yet "inspected" and that it would be ready shortly. We waited another 2 hours by the pool and decided to have lunch and drinks poolside. Since we didn't have a room we paid on a credit card instead of charging to our room. After 45 minutes, our food arrived. I had the chicken sandwich and only after biting into it I realized the chicken was raw (photo attached). As a pregnant woman who carefully watches what I eat this was really upsetting. I've never had to be concerned about the food quality at this hotel in the past. We told the waitress and she apologized and said they would refund this entree. It's been several weeks and it wasn't refunded. It was roughly $20 so it's not a big deal against our overall bill. We weren't offered a replacement or anything else. At an establishment like this, this level of service is unacceptable. Once our room was ready, we had to wait in that long line again to get our room keys. Both indoor and outdoor pools were very cold and not heated. Even though the patio was full, No one was swimming because of this. You would expect a hotel like this to invest on a pool heater just like any homeowner would. This has been an issue in the past as well. Raw chicken, low service levels, couldn't swim on a hot weekend in May- a shockingly bad experience at the Ballantyne.

Enjoyed a really nice one-night stay here this past weekend, and was surprised at check-in with an upgrade to a balcony room. The property is quite attractive inside and out, with well-appointed and spacious guest rooms, a gorgeous lobby, a small park behind the hotel, and plenty of outdoor space including a large swimming pool. Can’t vouch for the food as I only had a drink at the bar, but the restaurant looked appealing and was fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon. There was also an apparently quite popular afternoon tea service going on in the lobby when I arrived Saturday afternoon. Staff all very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, though the front desk did seem a bit stretched thin—often a line to speak to someone. Do take note that the hotel is a bit far afield — 20-30 min drive from central Charlotte attractions. I booked this place somewhat last-minute without taking that into account, but didn’t really make a difference to me, especially for a quick overnight. And there’s no shortage of food and shopping options in the close vicinity. All in all, I would stay again without hesitation—and wish I had gotten to enjoy more than one night here!
