I recently stayed at this hotel with my partner, and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. I made specific requests when booking, such as asking for a room on the top level close to the elevator, since we were going to be in and out a lot. Instead, we were given a room on the second floor—farthest from the elevator, which made our stay more inconvenient than necessary. To make matters worse, the shower leaked water all over the floor for no apparent reason, and the water temperature fluctuated between boiling hot and freezing cold. Not what I’d expect from a hotel charging premium rates. I also felt misled by the extra fees. When I arrived, I was told parking was $65 per night—half the price of the room itself! This was never mentioned when booking, and there was plenty of available parking nearby. It just felt like an unnecessary money grab. Finally, despite the hotel advertising free breakfast, the coffee in the morning was $8 for a cup of black coffee made by a barista. So much for "free breakfast." Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant, straightforward stay. It was full of hidden costs and disappointing experiences. There are plenty of better options out there. I’ll choose Holiday Inn next time.

The location was the main draw for us. The front desk staff was courteous. The BIG disappointment was having to pay to park in an open parking lot. This was a separate payment you make by scanning a QR code. The last time we stayed there was no cost for parking. My question is why is there NOW a cost to park? Won't be back with other just as nice or better places to stay in the area.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip. When I first got to the hotel, the lobby was extremely crowded and there was a marching band playing for probably about an hour while I tried to get checked in. The first key I got took me directly into an occupied room. Then, I had to come back downstairs, listen to blaring marching band music, and wait for 30 minutes for another key. I get to the front of the line and they say they cannot give me a king room (which is what I paid for). So, I get a queen room and they didn't offer to refund. I get up to my SECOND room and it is occupied - thank goodness I didn't see anyone. So, I go back downstairs, get another key, and I am about to knock on the THIRD door and the manager runs up to me to tell me the key won't work. So, I wait for another 30 minutes to get my FOURTH key. That key finally works - thank goodness. The manager offers to give me a night for free. Fast forward to check out - I ask about the free night as I would have to make sure I don't get reimbursed by my company for that night. They say that they didn't charge me. However, I look at my credit card statement and there is no refund to be found. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to staying here as it looked really nice but truly it was the worst check in experience I have had and the hotel staff did not seem too concerned about making things right. Definitely not staying here again.

I travel for a living, a Marriott Platinum Elite Lifetime status and I always enjoy coming to this property. It is clean, very friendly staff, nice accommodations with a great location that is close to nearby restaurants and shopping. Last night I checked in and Ms. Cindy whom works at the check in was very professional and welcoming to myself and my co-worker. Keep up the great job Sheraton Chapel Hill! This is a great place to get a great nights rest.

I’ve travelled to each corner of the US on government business. Every once in a while there comes a time when hotel staff goes above and beyond, in terms of professionalism, attitude, and over all service. The time I spent at Sheraton Chapel Hill was exactly this…..and all by the actions of Ms. Awa; an extremely polite young lady who obviously takes pride in her position. Whoever reads this will know that Awa’s handling of hotel guests is exceptional!! While this trip was a personal event for our daughter’s sorority, we were treated as royalty. Thank you Sheraton, and thank you Ms. Awa!
