I recently visited Saffron Indian Cuisine at Crescent Commons, and it truly feels like a hidden gem in the area. From the moment you arrive, one thing you immediately notice is how convenient the location is. There’s plenty of parking, which makes the visit easy and stress-free. The food is where this place really shines. We kept things fairly simple and ordered bhindi (okra) and black dal, but the flavors were outstanding. Sometimes the simplest dishes reveal the most about a restaurant’s cooking, and both of these were prepared beautifully. The bhindi was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, while the black dal was rich, comforting, and incredibly flavorful. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you how satisfying traditional Indian food can be when it’s made right. What stood out most was how simple yet delicious everything tasted. The food felt authentic, balanced, and clearly made with care. It didn’t try to be overly complicated — it just focused on great flavor and quality. The restaurant itself has a comfortable and welcoming feel, making it a pleasant place to sit down and enjoy a relaxed meal. Between the convenient location, generous parking, and excellent food, the whole experience was very enjoyable. If you’re looking for flavorful Indian food in the Crescent Commons area, Saffron Indian Cuisine is definitely worth visiting. It’s truly a gem, and I look forward to coming back to try more dishes from their menu.

Experienced my first Indian flavors at Saffron Indian Cuisine in Carry, NC, the coziest spot, along with delicious dishes. The food was impeccable! Every dish was delicious, but what elevated the entire experience was the warm and friendly service. The staff are genuinely attentive but not overbearing, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The lamb galouti was rich, juicy, smoky, and perfectly spiced. Dahi Bhalle Chaat was a refreshing burst of flavors and texture. The Chole Bhature was well-cooked: the chole was rich, tangy, and perfectly seasoned, while the bhature was light and golden crispy on the outside. Daal Bukhara was a rich, creamy, and well-balanced dish. However, the Naan was soft and fluffy, not quite like traditional North Indian naan. Moong dal halwa was aromatic and melt-in-the-mouth delicious. I truly enjoyed a good Indian meal in Carry.

We came in on a Thursday night and wanted to check it out, it completely blew us away! We tried the lamb pepper fry appetizer, chole bhature, and the chili garlic noodles with chicken. The lamb was so tender, the chole was so soft and fluffy, and the chili garlic noodles hit the spot. The portion sizes were huge and the taste was so flavorful and spicy! We will 100% be back here :) also AJ was a great server and was incredibly attentive!

I typically prefer south Indian restaurants but this restaurant really impressed me with the quality and quantity of food. I think a lot of Indian places give smaller portion sizes which usually turns me off to this but I was really surprised at the amount of food we got. For appetizer we got a pepper fry dish, the meat was on top with paratha on the bottom. The paratha was still pretty crispy despite having the meat sauce on top still. Overall they went together very well. The chole bhature was probably one of my favorites I've had. I know this dish is usually big but I was still surprised at the size of the bhature we received. The bhature was very soft, thicker than South Indian poori and very chewy. I loved eating it and will definitely order it again. Not pictured here but my girlfriend got some Indochinese noodles and again the quantity was a lot and it was very tasty, had enough to take home to eat later. Overall service was great, our server AJ did a good job of checking up on us and taking care of us. Will definitely be back sometime soon!
