Room was a 4, the new renovated rooms are millennial grey and lack the nostalgia that the red/gold and wood tones brought to the Embassy. I always felt like this place gave "Titanic" vibes if you know what I mean, and Im sad to see it go. I booked a room for 5 nights and 4 days, ours was in the newly renovated floors. I booked 2 one night stays for my family to meet us for the NYE 2026. Both of their rooms were in the not newly renovated floors. They had no complaints, they enjoyed their rooms very much. Breakfasts are very good, and there is something for everyone. Chef Jeff (Davis) was very personable and great at his job! New years eve we had dinner at the Rocky River Grill, we went all out and had a fantastic meal! The pool is small, but sufficient. I love that it opens at 6 and closes at 11. It really helps to have those extended hours, since we go out of way to book Hilton stays with indoor pools. Always can find time to get in a swim. Service and every other aspect of our stay was a solid 5 stars. We also visited the aquairium, concord mills mall, and the Charlotte motor speedway Christmas lights. If you are going in the colder months or especially around Xmas or NYE these are all great family fun activities that were worth the money spent.

We were there for a week long event. The new renovations are great, with the only issue being one of the three elevators was out of order the whole week. The service was great, and the staff were friendly. I especially want to thank Tameka at the front desk, Norman who made our drinks at evening events, and Lorraine in the coffee shop. Lastly, Raquel at the front desk quickly solved an issue I was having for an upcoming reservation at the hotel in September. Thx for a wonderful visit!

Five night stay, early June: The good: clean property and I like the atrium design. The 5pm guest reception was as efficient as you can expect. The banquet food was very good. The not good: day after check-in, room was not made up by 5 pm. I tried calling front desk from room, but hotel room phone was out of service. After finding the hotel's main # online and calling on my cell to report bithh issues, I had to wait in the queue for 20 minutes before someone answered. They said the room would he made up by 7pm. It wasn't until the next afternoon and the phones in the room were never fixed. They are still probably out 3 weeks later. This experience was one of disinterested front desk workers and I was really put off more from the attitude of the front desk than so not having the room made up. The bartenders at the hotel bar, one being worse than the rest, were unfriendly and served a healthy dose of attitude along with the beers/drinks/ok food. While running to meet ansld give something to someone at the elevator, somehow the manual safety latch inside the door engaged after leaving the room. It took 20-30 minutes for engineering to come and open it. For a hotel of this size and one that hosts conferences/car events/etc., there should be some midday dining opti9n available, other than the chips/cookies offerings in the coffee shop. Even just a fast service burger/chicken sandwich offering for those that have to spend a couple of full days in the hotel for events/meetings. I get that understaffing and over tasked employees is an issue, but certain things are controllable and multiple poor service issues should not he experienced during a five night stay. Another suggestion: when you know groups of 500 or more will he staying at your hotel, the people from these associations/clubs/groups are reunit8ng with fr8enda and business associates for an annual gathering and want to socialize. Why not add an hour to the beginning and end of the limited restaurant/bar open times so they can socialize more. I bet that'd be a boost to the hotel's bottom line.

Likes- Evening Manager's reception Made to order breakfast Professional/friendly staff Location Dislikes- 2 out of 3 elevators were working Unexplained 2 hour power outage Parking lot resurfacing Mattress needed to be replaced I stay at this hotel annually and while it is good, there is room for improvement to earn 5 stars. The staff is courteous and helpful, typical ES setup with atrium, manager's reception and awesome breakfast. Great location if you're into NASCAR, as the track is within waling distance. After check in and upon reaching my room, I noticed my door was open and maintenance personnel were finishing up work. After they left, I waited a few minutes, then walked around until I found housekeeping staff to see if maintenance was complete in my room. The building is starting to show it's age- one elevator was unusable caused long waits, mattress in my room had massive body depression like sleeping in a hammock, 2 hour power outage on a clear evening (no storms), and resurfacing the parking lot (no head's up, no instructions, just work up to cones blocking all exits making it difficult to leave the property. Every day, I noticed hotel maintenance on multiple floors working in rooms, with guests standing outside waiting. Luckily I had no problems. The rooms have supposedly been recently renovated; I have posted a video from 2025 (burgundy colored carpet, etc.) and another from my recent stay in 2026 (gray/white interior colors). I think the staff could very easily notify the guests of planned disruptions (parking lot, and power outage). These minor inconveniences along with all the maintenance issues make this a 4-star hotel.
