Dead Broke Farm

This was the best birthday present ever! Had an amazing experience from start to finish. I’ve been somewhere else before and they do not care for the horses or your experience like Dead Broke Farm does. Alice was our guide and she was absolutely amazing! Directions are very clear and they make sure you’re comfortable the entire time! The horses are huge but friendly as can be and BEAUTIFUL! The horse I rode was Darlene and she takes direction and rides so smooth. Absolutely book here!!!!!

Wow! Perfect horse (Tommy), trail, staff!!! I’m a 67 year old female, infrequent rider…felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed the ride!!! Staff sooo helpful! I’ll be back…God willing and the creek don’t rise!

I have been volunteering here for over a month, working with Courtney in caring for the horses and doing trail rides. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the farm and horses. She is great with the riders, helping those with less experience, and always making it fun for everyone. She’s great with kids and adults alike. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for an enjoyable ride!

I have been going to DEAD BROKE FARMS for years, from when it had the pool out front and was a small farm till now. Trying to see them continue to grow, I invited a mom and her son to come riding with my daughter and I. I was put on Dennis a stetson who decided to gallop 4-5 times throughout the trail ride inexplicably and tried to bite my feet several times. In one of his gallops my perceptioned sunglasses fell out of the saddle bag and had to be retrieved by the owner/guide. She proceeded to have issues remounting her own horse. I was shocked that she then decided to start complaining that it was all for some damn sunglasses. The verbal abuse continued as we returned even after she was able to mount her horse. Berating me in front of an incoming group as she checked them in as withheld my property so I could hear all she had to say first, before finally returning me my sunglasses. After seeing a Google review I have come to realize that Dennis only a month ago did the same thing to another rider and ultimately threw her off. This is a liability waiting to happen, but I guess that is why they have you sign the waiver. So if they put you on an inexperienced horse and you are injured you have no recourse. I fear that Dead broke farms has come to care only about the bottom line. Perhaps that is why reservations are by card and they deal in CASH ONLY!

The trail ride was amazing! Alice was a fantastic guide and all of the horses were sweet and well behaved. I got to ride Kahlua who was a blast and so beautiful
