a month agoAfter staying in several hotels in Raleigh I feel compelled to review. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Location may be busier other times of the year but was easy to get to. Their system was down but the front desk agents (morgan- looking at you!) Were kind and accommodating. The server/bartender ms Jay was incredible at handling all the people waiting for rooms, as well as catering to diners who stayed in. I will always still here when in town after the exemplary service I received. Definitely dont sleep on the back patio/ pond view. Even at night it was incredible.

2 months agoWe stayed at StateView Hotel, Raleigh for one night as a stop during a road trip. Overall, the property is quite nice and well-maintained, and we wish we had arrived earlier to enjoy it more. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to the hotel until around 9 PM, so we couldn’t fully experience the facilities. The swimming pool was closed, which was a bit disappointing. Parking costs $12, which is something to note. The room itself was comfortable and spacious. The water pressure in the shower was just right, which we appreciated after a long drive. One small detail: only one bathrobe was provided, even though the room was booked for two guests. Overall, it’s a pleasant hotel, in a great location too!

a month agoSpent an evening visiting the restaurant/bar. It was a cool evening so we asked about seating outside by the fire pit. The barmaid was incredibly helpful and requesting a new propane be bought out for us to utilize the fire pit. She promptly filled our drink order and made food suggested when I asked. We ordered shareables and were served outside at the fire pit and under the evening stars. It was beautiful and the food was delicious. Overall we enjoyed very good service and atmosphere and menu items. We didn't stay in the hotel but thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the bar and restaurant. Will return again. Special note, our barmaid definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of. Even brought us out warm cloths to clean our hands after dining. A+

a month agoI don't even know where to start with our stay, it was a disaster. 2 days before our arrival we were notified that on our day of check out the water would be turned off for the entire hotel at 8:00AM. I asked if there was any compensation for this, and nothing AT ALL was done. They said that they would provide bottled water. (not sure that will help with showers). Upon arrival the lady couldn't figure out my reservation (that I had already paid for through hotels.com) and charged me 5 different times for the stay and deposit. YES THAT IS CORRECT I HAD 5 FULL STAY CHARGES on my card. It has been over a week and I am still trying to get one of the charges off. The actual hotel was nice and clean, and if it wasn't for the people that work there, I may return. I am sorry but you need to do better Stateview Hotel, when you take water away at 8:00AM until 4PM, you need to give SOME kind of compensation. Some people in our party were not even notified of this issue . THEN when you realize you have OVER charged a customer 5 times, you should more than likely contact them and I dont know, APOLOGIZE? This is something that their higher ups should know about because if I am not the only person that has had problems, they are loosing potential customers in the future. **CHECK BEHIND THEM ON YOUR CHECK INS**

3 months agostayed for 2 nights, enjoyed our stay a lot, very nice hotel, all in great condition, new, and clean, very good size room and bathroom. Bathroom can have more hooks for towels, otherwise is perfect. Beautiful area, ample parking. very friendly staff, comfortable beds and our room was very quiet. minor "irritations" - parking fee is $12 extra per night - no free water bottles on check-in or in the room. - during our stay there was some girls sport competition in the area, and looked like many teams stayed in the hotel. Lobby was usually occupied by those groups and it was quite noisy in the lobby. upstairs, at least on our floor, was quiet Overall: we enjoyed our stay and will be happy to stay there again.
