a week agoRoom was a 4, the new renovated rooms are millennial grey and lack the nostalgia that the red/gold and wood tones brought to the Embassy. I always felt like this place gave "Titanic" vibes if you know what I mean, and Im sad to see it go. I booked a room for 5 nights and 4 days, ours was in the newly renovated floors. I booked 2 one night stays for my family to meet us for the NYE 2026. Both of their rooms were in the not newly renovated floors. They had no complaints, they enjoyed their rooms very much. Breakfasts are very good, and there is something for everyone. Chef Jeff (Davis) was very personable and great at his job! New years eve we had dinner at the Rocky River Grill, we went all out and had a fantastic meal! The pool is small, but sufficient. I love that it opens at 6 and closes at 11. It really helps to have those extended hours, since we go out of way to book Hilton stays with indoor pools. Always can find time to get in a swim. Service and every other aspect of our stay was a solid 5 stars. We also visited the aquairium, concord mills mall, and the Charlotte motor speedway Christmas lights. If you are going in the colder months or especially around Xmas or NYE these are all great family fun activities that were worth the money spent.

a week agoMy family and I have stayed at this property dozens of times, and it has always been our favorite Embassy suites in the entire country. Mina has always been amazing and has kept us coming back to this property. I stayed at this property on the night of December 4 with a check-out date of December 6. We had a very early morning commitment on the 6th and needed to get some sleep. There were about 15 kids running up and down all of the hallways on multiple floors, screaming and yelling, and their parents were being extremely loud in the lobby section. I went to call the front desk, and the phones didn’t work in our room. I went down to the lobby, explained the situation to the front desk clerk, and she said she would take care of it. I proceeded back to my room. The chaos continued for an additional 30+ minutes. I went down and politely asked the group to try to keep the noise levels down since we were trying to sleep. One of the people then decided to become highly aggressive towards me and started to approach me, at which time I turned around and went back to the front desk lady and explained that he was being aggressive. She stepped in and tried to diffuse the situation, but the group just wanted to attack me. I went to retreat to my room, and the front desk person kept everybody off the elevator except for myself. When I got to my floor, I could all of a sudden see them looking up and saying, “Watch what room he goes into.” I immediately went back down to the front desk and asked for the police to be called. The Police Department did show up and cleared the floors to make sure everybody was in their rooms, and I was finally taken to my room. However, now I felt in complete danger and couldn’t exit my room without the fear of being attacked, and this even caused me to miss the morning breakfast. Had the front desk people simply asked and enforced the group to lower their volume and also to control their kids I would not have been placed in this hostile situation where I had to hide in the back office for over an hour while the police department acted like a SWAT team at the hotel. I had asked for the hotel management to contact me and this never occurred. I also completed a survey on this property with the corporate team and they asked if I wanted to be contacted about my visit. I said yes and no contact has been made. It’s very sad as this is a property that I want to go back to, but need to know that this situation is never going to happen again. I would appreciate contact from the hotel directly, but understand that in the chaos of renovation I may be unheard.

in the last weekThey are doing a really loud construction and it sounds like you’re getting a root canal in your room. Stay away! Definitely don’t stay here if you want some peace and quiet. Here’s how loud it is in our room even after they moved us, which was worse. Also, the indoor pool is not heated and very cold. They have the AC on heat, but the water is very VERY cold. We stayed at a wonderful Marriott close by which had a very warm and heated pool. This is definitely not heated although they state it is.

a month ago2nd time visiting Embassy in the past year. Wasn't sure of I'd return after the first time but glad I did. They are currently renovating but was able to stay in a newer room which was so much better than the old one that looked dated and smelled. Also, the lobby looks really nice. It was a little noisy bc of construction. Staff are always nice though. Miss the hot tub from years ago but otherwise, i enjoyed this stay much better. The location is great. Several restaurants, mall and grocery stores are within a mile or two. The breakfast is the best! And nighttime reception is pretty ok. I plan to return and can't wait to see the fully renovated hotel.

a week agoThere are 2 sides to every story. Anyone who has left a bad review about the renovations is honestly someone who is intolerant of happiness. You are warned when you book and the renovations have not caused us an disruption. We stayed as a family of 4 for 3 days. Staff have been extremely attentive and check in frequently. Aniyah was phenomenal. This was worth every penny.
