a month agoLove sneaking away to Grandover for special weekends! Once you are there, there's no reason to leave until time to check out. The food is great. Beautiful golf courses. The resort is laid out great. The bar and live music are perfectly located. Always a great trip. Thank you!

a month agoHotel was clean, desk staff welcoming. They had beautiful music playing in the restaurant/lounge in the evenings. Came for a girls weekend mainly to use the spa and services. Clean but dated, changing areas are small. Several areas under maintenance. We had to use the locker rooms in a different area different floor, than where the spa lockers where located. Spa staff seemed like they were going through the motions. Overall enjoyed

3 months agoThis is one of my favorite places for a getaway locally. My last visit wasn't so great. We got in late and needed a microwave. They didn't have them in the room, but I didn't realize there is no access to one at all. This is an upscale resort and I didn't have a way to heat up my meal?!? The room is very outdated. The edges were dirty and rusty. I paid $30 for a nasty omelet. It ended up in the trash with the rest of my cold food. We got a late checkout so that we could explore the hotel with our 7 year old daughter. She was interested in the gingerbread houses. At 11:07 we get a loud banging knock at the door. I opened the door to find the housekeeper yelling at me that checkout was at 11am. I told her we got a late checkout and she demanded to know at what time I was leaving. I'm half asleep and this lady is telling at me about something her front desk staff needed to inform her of. Not acceptable. We went to the pool (indoors) and the water was cold. The waterfall was warm, but the pool was not. We did not appreciate the experience at all during this visit. I pay more for hotels because I'm very particular about where I stay. This was a very disappointing experience.

a month agoWe have had a Feb weekend retreat here for the past 3 years and this year our experience was disappointing. To name a few: stains on "clean" unused by us fitted sheet, conditioner in shower was empty, and on a different floor other people with our retreat had a room beside drunk guests who were loud, sounded like they were wrestling and throwing items in the room, and knocking on their door that "they had more drinks." Security was called both two nights in a row about drunk guests. Couple asked to move rooms the first night and were told this could not be done. Drunk guests were asked to turn down music, but they didn't and nothing else was done. Also, we had reserved 19 rooms, but only 16 were available the day of check in. On the brighter side, food service during retreat and meetings were exceptional as usual. Front desk staff were professional and friendly. When we needed a clean fitted sheet it was brought quickly but we had to take off stained sheet and put new fitted sheet on. Small travel size conditioner was brought quickly even though the bottle in shower was not replaced. This is considered a 4-star resort and much about this experience was far from 4 stars.

2 months agoThis is our second time to the Grandover! We have had excellent experiences both times that we stayed here. This time we had free full Breakfast coupons that they complementary gave to us and the breakfast was really good . We ordered room service and they were quick and the food was good and hot. The beds are very comfortable. I don't have any complaints. It is a very nice place to stay.!!
