Anjappar

I had a good dining experience. The appetizers were fantastic. Gobi Manchurian was crispy and saucy. Chicken lollipops were perfectly spiced and juicy. Malabar parotta paired with Chettinad chicken curry worked beautifully. The curry had right level of spices and heat. Vegetable Biryani was aromatic and delicious. However I didn’t like chicken 65 biryani as they have tried to stuff the bowl with more dry chicken 65 and less rice. The biryani didn’t match the flavor I was hoping for.

Great crowded place. The ambience is okay , and the food is very tasty. Every place has its positive and negative points. This place attracts a lot of people because of its fresh and tasty food. Because of crowd expect very slow service. Food ets to plate is approx 30 mins. Also, if you need a refill, you need to wait for another 20 mins. So overall, we must visit the place for tasty food.

I’ve been to Anjappar several times, both for takeout and dine-in, and each visit has been a treat. Their food is consistently well-seasoned, and the spicy dishes pack a punch—something I really appreciate. While I don’t have a clear favorite yet, if I had to choose, their lamb and goat curries are always fresh, flavorful, and deliver the perfect level of heat, which I love. I also make sure to order their Chai with every visit—it’s delicious, though I wish the serving was a bit larger. The same goes for their side of rice; I wouldn’t mind a more generous portion. The service is decent—not exceptional, but not bad either. There have been times when they were very attentive, being timely with taking my order and checking in regularly, but other times when they were less responsive or I felt rushed. It’s a mixed bag. Despite that, Anjappar remains my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. In terms of quality, freshness, and bold flavors, it stands out from the competition. Overall, I’d rate this place 4 out of 5 stars, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. I’d recommend it for both casual meals and takeout when you’re in the mood for authentic Indian food. My recent visit was no exception, and I was once again impressed by the outstanding service and delicious food. The weekend buffet lunch is always a highlight, with a vast spread of authentic Indian dishes that cater to different tastes and preferences. Each dish is expertly prepared and presented, and the flavors are always amazing. What truly sets Anjappar Chettinad apart, however, is the exceptional service provided by the staff. Our host, Reagan, is particularly deserving of praise. His compassion, dedication, and attention to detail ensure that every guest feels welcome and taken care of. Despite the large number of guests, Reagan manages everything with ease and grace, making sure that everyone has a wonderful time. His commitment to providing exceptional service is virtuous, and he's a true asset to the Anjappar Chettinad team. This is our first time. Food was excellent and after a long time we had such delicious food. Must try place if you love Indian food. A lot to choose from menu.
